Ethanol Fuel Blender Pump Locations
Notice all the ethanol blender pump fueling stations located throughout 10 mid- western states. These states are also where all the ethanol production plants and the 1000’s of acres of corn fields are located.
Flex-fuel vehicles DO NOT need to use ethanol blends as they are fully designed for e-85 and using blends would be somewhat more costly… The greater percentage of ethanol the less the cost per gallon. There would be no reason for a flex-fuel driver to use any of the blends.
The question becomes…who’s using all these blender pumps and how/why were they installed?
A visit to any one of these stations, any day of the week, provides for us the answer. The entire community at large is bringing their non-flex fuel vehicles there to pump ethanol at volumes less than e-85 and saving A LOT of money! In addition, the local air quality has been greatly improved.
Dollar Donate Program
If you think our programs are useful and beneficial to the community and environment please help us to continue! Send us your dollar!
Currently we are looking to secure donations to assist us in obtaining a demonstration pellet production machine to enable us to run our educational webinar for biomass pellet production using waste materials.
We will give back, dollar for dollar, to anyone who donates here, in the form of either free attendance of the instructive webinar, a deep discount for a pellet production machine or if you're local, free 40lb bags of quality biomass pellets you can use in your stove.
The local state govt's in this mid-west region realized the best way to serve their resident 100 million dollar ethanol plants and the 100’s of corn farmers is to allow the general population within their state to exercise “free choice” in their fuel purchasing! They knew that once they facilitated the installation of these blender pumps it wouldn’t be long before those who knew that ethanol blender usage in non-flex cars was safe, would lead the way for the rest of the community to follow. And follow they did. Everyone is using it now for a few years.
Does anyone believe that the state political leadership would’ve allowed this to happen if they had believed that cars could be “damaged” from use of that special biofuel? In fact they were so confident in their position that they allowed for the relaxation for the UL rating for these pumps as it was prohibitively expensive and most stations couldn’t afford to install them.
This is nothing less than an embarrassment to us up here in the Northeast.
The good news though, is that although we don’t have that special progressive minded and courageous political leadership here like they do in the mid-west and we don’t have blender pumps, we DO have many e-85 pumps and this is all we need to do our own “in-tank” blending every time we go to the gas station. (please read through my facebook advisory posts on this). And for those ready to take first steps, feel free to email questions you may have.
